I founded Sweet Spot HR to help leaders and employees genuinely love their work. With experience in both in-house HR leadership and consulting, I support business owners in growing their teams without the stress and risk that often comes with managing people. My approach is practical, hands-on, and grounded in real business operations, not theory.
I began my career at a fast-growing digital marketing company, advancing from HR Assistant to leadership as the organization scaled from 200 to nearly 1,000 employees. Since then, I’ve partnered with employers nationwide, supporting multi-state teams and complex compliance across a wide range of industries.
My goal is to take HR off your plate by building clear, compliant systems, so you can lead with confidence and focus on what matters most. When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me enjoying comedy podcasts, experimenting with kitchen gadgets, or spending time outdoors. Are your prices negotiable?
For project-based work (Spot-On Projects), pricing is determined on a case-by-case basis, tailored to the specific requirements and scope of the project. This allows us to provide a customized quote that accurately reflects the work involved.
Fractional HR consulting (Sweet Spot Partner/HR on the Spot) rates, however, are fixed and standardized to ensure clarity and consistency. If you have any particular needs or constraints, feel free to discuss them with us, and we'll do our best to accommodate within the framework of our established rates.
How do you communicate with your clients?
We primarily communicate with clients via phone and email, ensuring quick and efficient exchanges. For recurring meetings, we use Teams video calls, although we are flexible and can adapt to other platforms if that’s your preference. We are based in Reno, Nevada, and can travel locally for on-site work if needed. While we don’t regularly travel outside the Reno area, we are open to making arrangements for special circumstances. Let us know your preferred communication methods and any specific needs you might have!
I don't have any HR infrastructure. Where do we begin?
We start by understanding you, your employees, and your business. Together, we’ll assess your legal obligations, your current HR practices (or lack thereof), and what is and isn’t working for your team. From there, we develop and implement customized processes, tools, and strategies that align with your business needs.
The key areas we focus on are employment law compliance, onboarding and offboarding, benefits and compensation, performance management, and employee experience. Where we start depends on what’s most pressing for your business. If urgent issues need attention, we’ll tackle them first. When time allows, we’ll build toward long-term strategy. No matter where we begin, the goal is to create a solid HR foundation that supports both your employees and your business.
